#2techtruths

In our city, the Technology Resource Teachers (TRTs) send out an annual email to introduce themselves.  I wanted to do something different this year, and have created a SMORE Flyer with all of the information that I usually send in the email. The link to the flyer is here: https://www.smore.com/bbntc

A good friend and great Tech Coach, Candy Shively, is an award winning blogger.  Recently she challenged edtech coaches to use two truths and a lie when they did their introductory sessions this year.  So, I’m accepting the challenge, and here are my two truths and a lie:

  •  I’ve always known that I wanted to work with teachers, and so I started early.  I did my first EdTech Professional Development session for teachers when I was 16 years old.
  • I’ve never been good at foreign languages. It was so bad in college that I begged them to accept my programming languages instead since I knew 6 of them.  It didn’t work…they made me take Spanish.
  • I keep telling everyone that technology isn’t really my forte, I just work hard at it. When I got this job, I only knew one piece of software well enough to integrate it into a lesson.

So there you have it. Two TECH truths and a lie.  Can you tell which is the lie?

I am guessing that #2 is the lie.

    1. Good guess! They did not make me take Spanish. They used my programming languages to meet the requirement.
